Het Mechelse kunstplatform Grambacht cureert met LEK een festival rond avontuurlijke muziek, geluidskunst en meer. LEK focust op water in de breedste betekenis van het woord. Water is everywhere, a hot topic that is linked more strongly than ever to ecological awareness. Seeping into Mechelen, and the festival’s programme. Through the Binnendijle and along an intricate network of exposed water features, water claims a prominent place in our city.
On Sunday 22 September 2024, we will take you along into this universal and topical story through music and performances. Contemporary acts within the worlds of music and sound art starts a fascinating dialogue with the richness of water in and around Mechelen. The afternoon programme will present performances at various locations in the city centre (Predikheren, Groen Waterke, Melaan and the foyer of kunstencentrum nona), while the evening programme of concerts will take place in kunstencentrum nona’s Gouden Zaal, hosting three indoor performances by Caroline Profanter, Lieven Martens and Tomoko Sauvage.
